Education: B.A. in History and Sociology from UB. I am currently enrolled in UB’s Higher Education Administration Graduate Program.

Academic Path: I entered UB in the fall of 2005 as an undecided student. I always liked history, but I didn’t know if it was something I wanted to get a degree in. I took many different classes and changed my major many times, not settling on sociology until junior year. In that program I had the opportunity to become an undergraduate teaching assistant, a position that pointed me towards higher education. In the second semester that year, I added history so I could get a degree in both of my areas of interest. As I continued to enjoy my classes, I still was not sure what I wanted to do with the degree once I graduated. I decided to talk to people in the field of higher education and explore that possibility for graduate school. I have followed through with that, and I am now pursuing a master’s in higher education administration.

Specialty area: University Scholars, general academic advisement

Hobbies and interests: Surprisingly I actually like the weather here, and I can’t wait for snow…as long as it’s not too soon. I love hockey, obviously the Sabres, play soccer, and enjoy music; especially the Goo Goo Dolls, Nirvana, and the Beatles.
