Law School Admissions Test Strategy Seminar

The LSAT is an important component of the law school application process.  Learn the strategies that will improve your performance and tips on how to prepare for the exam.

Saturday, September 20th, 2:30 – 5:30 p.m.  Kaplan Center in UB Commons
Thursday, September 25th, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Wednesday, October 1st, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 18th, 10:00 a.m. – 1 p.m.  (Also includes a brief strategy seminar).
Determine your areas of strengths and those needing improvement by taking an LSAT prep-test. Learn the structure and format before you sit for the real test!

Greater Western New York Law School Fair
Thursday, October 2nd, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Buffalo Niagara Marriott Hotel, 1340 Millersport Highway, Amherst.
Recruiters from over 45 regional and national law schools will be available to answer questions about application requirements and qualifications for their respective schools. The third annual event, which is free and open to all UB students/Alumni, is sponsored by the Western New York Association of College Career Centers (WYNACCC), a non-profit organization of professionals from 19 Western New York college career centers.

UB Law School Informational Session

Learn about University at Buffalo Law School! Admissions officers will present on the application process, admissions, curriculum, student-life, and post-law school opportunities, and will answer specific questions you may have. An invaluable event for anybody interested in UB Law School and wishing to hear directly from law school representatives!

The Law School Application Process
Wednesday, October 1st, 3:00 – 3:50 p.m. 210 Student Union.
We will comprehensively discuss the entire application process: timelines, academics, extracurricular activities, the online application materials, financial aid, the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT), the Law School Admission Council (LSAC), the Law School Database Assembly Service (LSDAS), researching schools (The Official Guide to ABA-Approved Law Schools, the Boston College Law School Locater), recommended courses, majors, a reading list, and will answer any specific questions you may have.

Perfecting the Law School Personal Statement Session I
Tuesday, October 14th, 1:00 p.m. - 1:50 p.m. 210 Student Union.
Your law school personal statement can be the deciding factor for acceptance. This session will teach you how to write a winning essay that will positively impact your overall law school application.

Perfecting the Law School Personal Statement Session II
Wednesday, October 29th, 3:00 – 3:50 p.m. 330 Student Union
Your law school personal statement can be the deciding factor for acceptance. This session will teach you how to write a winning essay that will positively impact your overall law school application. This workshop will be the same format and content as Session I.

Perfecting the Law School Personal Statement Session III
This 3rd session will be for those folks who wanted to attend one of the previous PS workshops but couldn’t make it. Time and date will be arranged based on the availability of participants. (To book an alternative workshop date, please email me at bonebrak@buffalo.edu.)
