Good luck with the LSAT!!!!

Tomorrow is the LSAT for many of you. Good luck!  Just remain relaxed and ‘go through the motions’ at this point.  Look forward to celebrating an end to an ordeal afterwards with a large bowl of ice cream. :)

Here is some last minute advice from the folks over at LexPrep.

Here are some last minute preparation ideas from another blog.

And as far as today is concerned: the consensus seems to be to ‘take the day off’ as best you can - take it easy, don’t try to cram the last minute, as that won’t help as much. You’ve already done the prep work. Now it’s time to take it easy and try to get a good night’s rest as well (but if you don’t, well, a lot of people don’t. There’s always coffee in the morning!).

Dean Certifications!

Just a reminder when applying to law schools, in that some schools require a dean certification. Please complete the UB Release form and also provide me with the forms from each Law School that requires them.  Your law school application to those schools will not be complete until this form is processed. Aditionally, keep in mind that the turn-around time for these forms can be upwards of two weeks during busy times. So the sooner you get them to our office, the sooner we can get to work sending them out to the law schools you are applying to!

Legal Writing Prep Course

Professor Michael Santana has an online Law preparatory course that students may find useful.

As I was exploring the website one thing I found particularly interesting was a question he posed to his students in law school on what they would do differently as undergrads:

The one thing that I would’ve done differently prior to law school was to spend more time writing. […]

I would have taken more writing classes and classes focused on reading and absorbing material. Actually, better grammar skills would have helped a lot.
