New York Legal Education Opportunity Program
An excellent opportunity program available to assist disadvantaged students in the pursuit of a law degree:
Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye has established the New York Legal Opportunity Program (NY LEO) to help ensure a diverse legal community by promoting academic success for individuals historically under-represented in the legal profession.
THE NY LEO PROGRAM will assist minority, low-income and educationally disadvantaged college graduates in acquiring the fundamental and practical skills necessary to succeed in law school. The program will be available to qualified candidates who plan to attend law school in New York.
Copies of the application are available in both my office (108b Norton Hall) and also Wayne Porterfield’s in 259 Capen Hall.
