Professor Charles Carr will give a workshop tomorrow on writing the personal statement to law schools. I encourage all Pre-Law students to attend!
Perfecting the Law School Personal Statement
Wednesday, October 28th, 1:00 – 1:50 p.m. 250 Student Union
Your law school personal statement can be the deciding factor for acceptance. This session will teach you how to write a winning essay that will positively impact your overall law school application.
UB Law School Networking Event
Wednesday November 11th at 5:30 pm
From the reservation page: The University at Buffalo Law School will be hosting evening networking sessions addressing topics on UB Law School admissions criteria, curriculum and special programs, tuition and financial aid. There will also be a panel of current law students who will share their experiences about preparing for law school, why they chose UB Law and life as a law student.
Register for the event here! Hearing directly from law students is always interesting, and hearing what helped them prepare for law school as undergrads along with what they think about law school should be very helpful. Of course, hearing directly from the admissions office to UB Law is the best way to learn about their programs and being competitive.
Have some questions about law school? Want to know more about the application process? Interested in knowing what the law school experience is like?
The UB Law School will be presenting a workshop this upcoming October 14th, from 4:00 – 4:50 p.m. in 145 A Student Union about the law school application and experience. Admission officers will provide information on the application process to UB Law School, admissions, curriculum of study, student-life, and even post-law school opportunities. We will also reserve time to answer questions you may have, and will provide information packets for attendants.
If you are interested in attending, please RSVP by October 13th to Jon Bonebrake by either sending an email to me at bonebrak@buffalo.edu or calling my office number at 716.645.5417.
This is a wonderful opportunity to hear first-hand about UB Law School and the law school application process in general, and I encourage anyone interested in law to attend this informative event!
