A reason for optimism for current applicants, as applicant numbers appear to have decreased for the third year running.
A snapshot of application totals at several top law schools across the country shows a 4.6% drop for this year’s class, indicating a third consecutive year of decreases in the number of people applying to juris doctor programs nationwide.

Law School forums are an excellent way to meet law school admission represenatives and learn more about their schools. I would recommend planning a visit to one of the national LSAC forums if possible. As far as those near us, Boston, MA has a forum this upcoming October 19th, and another in New York City this October 21st. And don’t forget: we will have a Law School Local Fair this upcoming September 25th.
Forums can also provide you with information that will help you answer more personal questions: Do you have the ability and educational background that will help you handle the law school curriculum? What will a legal education train you to do? Will law be a satisfying career for you?

Remember that if you are an undergraduate student here at University at Buffalo, you can submit your Dean Certification forms to me. Please go print out this release form and also include the Law School form.
According to the Law School Discussion post, this is the most recent list of school requiring a Dean’s Certificate. (This appears to be an accurate list, but always confirm with your schools to be sure. This is from a post from a discussion board, so it’s authenticity is hardly valid. But it looks to me to be spot-on).

They are actively involved in volunteerism, have social activities planned throughout the semester, and always have insightful guests coming in to talk about law and the admissions process.
