Sponsored by the Discovery Seminars Program at UB.
The cost is $1400 and includes transportation, lodging, meals and admissions fees to the Chautauqua Institute. Target Audience are rising sophomore, juniors and seniors. No pre-requisites or special skills are necessary.
Excursions Also Include:

- Tour a NYS Supreme Court courthouse, where participants will watch a court proceeding, interact with personnel, and discuss the roles and duties of different courthouse personnel.
Why Should You Participate - Opportunities to gain an understanding of the role jurists, practitioners, and supporting staff play in local, national, and global forums.
- Identify and describe how local, national, and international laws are influences by different communities and belief sets
- Develop an understanding of the role of the United States in the wider global community and the ability to critically evaluation legal issues and assess potential outcomes.
An interesting discussion on how to interpret the Constitution. One of many videos that you can find that give you an introduction to defining legal issues!
The admissions process for law school is becoming increasing competitive. According to law school admissions officers, your LSAT* score is the single most important factor for gaining entrance into law school. This makes your decision about how to prepare for the LSAT critical.
Between March 15th and April 15th, Kaplan is giving you the opportunity to preview a Free LSAT Class. At this event, you will learn valuable strategies from an LSAT expert and discover the reasons why more people get into law school with a Kaplan LSAT course than with all other major courses combined.‡
